Biografi. Thorn Prikker var son till en husmålare. Från 1881 till 1887 studerade han vid Die Kunstakademie i Haag, men lämnade skolan utan att slutföra sina studier. År 1890, introducerade hans vän Jan Toorop honom i arbetet i den belgiska konstnärsgruppen, Les XX, som gav honom tillfälle att ställa ut sina verk. Johan Thorn Prikker (6 June 1868, The Hague - 5 March 1932, Cologne) was a Dutch artist who worked in Germany after 1904.His activities were very eclectic, including architecture, lithography, furniture, stained-glass windows, mosaics, tapestries and book covers as well as painting.
